Laurent Weichberger

Laurent was born and raised in Manhattan, about one mile from the World Trade Center, where he came to Meher Baba in 1986.. In 1997 he moved, with his wife and daughter, to Flagstaff, Arizona. On January 31, 1999 Laurent co-founded, with four Flagstaff residents, The Light House spiritual center with a mission to recognize and freely share the light of divine presence with one and all. Participation at TLH gatherings included people of all faiths, such as: Buddhist, Hindu, Sikh, Christian, Pagan, Jewish, Islamic, Sufi and others. Laurent's best visit to India was his most recent in July 2001 when he got to say farewell to dearest brother Eruch, and share more with Bhau who revealed his experience of Baba speaking to him out loud in Hindi on January 30, 1969.  Laurent works at LearningPatterns.com Inc. (based in Manhattan), as a Java Programming Instructor and Project Manager for web application development.

The Way to God Oh Mashuq Meher Baba, my Divine Master, This is what I have gathered from being with you!   The spiritual path is not about flying above humanity... When the Avatar comes, is he not perfectly human? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not a strong drink which makes you feel great for a while and miserable   afterward...   Are you more loving today than you were before? The way to God is not the way of the world.   The spiritual path is not a religion made by mankind... Who is speaking within your heart? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not about greatness... What will happen if I am truly humble? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not a race to the finish... Is time real? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not a pass-time... What do you most deeply want? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not outside you... Where can consciousness go within? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not the removal of suffering... What will happen if I walk into the fire? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not about gaining anything... Who will I become if I give away this ignorance I cling to? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not in reading about those who walk   with God...   Are you living what you already know? The way to God is not the way of the world.   The spiritual path is not in speaking about God... What will become of the hypocrites? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not about having the purest body... How toxic are my thoughts, words and deeds? The way to God is not the way of the world. The spiritual path is not taking pride in being very, very   good...   Did Saint Francis become proud or humble? The way of the world is not the way to God.   Oh Laurent, the spiritual path is Love, Obedience, and   Surrender to God   and His Living Christ within you.
